I thought she thought that them being poor was God's will. She didn't try to get them out of that hole, she just tried to make that hole more tolerable.

TWO? Since NASA's warp propulsion division is a team effort why only two?
And how sure are you that it WILL be invented?

for what it's worth here is my list:

isaac newton (made the industrial revolution possible)

    thomas edison
    henry ford
    nicola tesla
    Henry Bessemer

(these 4 men revolutionized the industrial revolution)

    pythagoras (pretty obvious)

abraham (if he existed, created a religion that was a pre-cursor to 2 of the largest religions in the world)

    jesus christ(if he existed)

saul (set the stage for christianity to be the largest religion)

    mohammad (pretty obvious)

the men that assassinated duke franz ferdinand. (set the stage for both world wars in europe)

the founding fathers of the US.

all the scientists that contributed to the knowledge of the atom, and nuclear fission and fusion.

No product invetion or useful anything has evolved from the theory of relativiity So

excuse me, but Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity is full of shit, or rather, Eisterin was full of shit.

Do you disagree with his explanation of brownian motion too? What about the photoelectric effect (for which he won the Nobel Prize)?

I have a sneaking suspicion that it would be more accurate to say "whatever geistkiesels's alternative to the theory of relativity is, it's full of shit." If you win a Nobel Prize for proving the theory of relativity wrong, I'll gladly retract that statement, but I'm not holding my breath.

The first Khoisan guy who, some 250 thousand years ago said, "Hey, maybe those stars up there are lots and lots of gods and goddesses?"

Changed the history of all humanity, and everyone's been boggling their minds over that whole thing since. We've been either trying to clean up the messes made from that question, or answer it.

    Genghis Khan.

The indispensable one. If he hadn't come along, there's no telling whether anyone else would have done what he did - which was connect all the civilizations of Europe and Asia by secure trade routes.

After him, the industrial revolution was a matter of time.

By influential I assume you mean having the biggest impact upon humanity as a whole for all time that humanity has been here on this planet. That would be the first humanoids that mated and gave birth to the rest of us. We are all brothers and sisters either by the Bible or by evolution.

A team led by Tyler-Smith identified the haplotype, or genetic signature, of the Mongol royal house in 2003 after a survey showed it to be carried by an estimated 16 million men living in the lands of the former Mongol empire

Although it sounds odd, the science behind the claim seems valid enough. It stems from a 2003 genetic study that identified Genghis Khan as the common ancestor of 8 percent of Asian men. A British company, Oxford Ancestors, searched its client database to find more matches with Genghis Khan and identified Tom Robinson as one of his descendants. He is the first man of European or American background to be so identified. Here's how the match was made:

    those are the actual figures.

Since early homo sapiens don't count because this is for history not prehistory...

And.. there is barely any evidence that he even existed. *though if he did I would think he would be the most influencial*

...Julius Caesar, Gutemberg, that one Roman emporor that legalized Christianity, Newton, Maxwell, Volta.
