because unlike what people say, it is not skin color that defines a person, but the person's attitude and intelligence who bears that skin...as a result of the skin color.

Take a look at black communities in USA and white communities. All are given equal opportunities...yet black people do not achieve in life near as much as the white people do.

Why? Because they are black? No...

Because they do not try hard and do not strive...merely they give in to the idea of "we are black and others are being racists against us"

Interesting theory. Of course, if I grant you that hypothesis as accepted, we must consider how that comes about. Given the history of the United States of America, I would not blame blacks for simply giving up on the idea of American justice.

However, despite our white culture's most diligent efforts, blacks haven't given up en masse. Those who have are no different from world-flight hippies and "libertarians" who happen to be white. And yet we don't extend the stereotype of the incestuous, paranoid, ranting militiaman, or the stinking hypocritical hippie to describe the whole of white people in the U.S.

It's no different from looking at an underpaid hispanic immigrant who busts his ass in the fields all day and calling him "lazy" because he's a "Mexican", or including the diligent, studious black man harassed by the police among "gangstas" because he's black.

In the end, it still comes down to bigotry. Xenophobia has a certain evolutionary value in humanity, but, as with many other delicate utilities, we tend to take it too far.

Skin colour in the context you are describing is virtually never just skin colour, but also an entire cocktail of other racial and cultural characteristics. A northern European Caucasoid who is, by tanning, equally as dark as one of the paler Negroes will not easily be confused as a kinsman.

People judge others in ways both conscious and unconscious, but overall these judgments are amazingly shallow and devoid of rational justification. This applies whether we are referring to a potential lover, the degree to which one 'clicks' with a colleague, or why one picks one vapid celebrity over another to maniacally adulate.
