Personally, I see no reason for the movie even to exist. The show is still on, there's 20 plus years of re-runs out there and DVDs for sale: What's the point? It would be one thing if something stupendous happened or the movie ended the series, but based on what I've read, the movies sounds like a 90 minute episode... I stopped watching the show years ago, too. It lost its freshness.
i saw the movie on saturday, it was basicaly 4 episodes back to back. nothing special but it wasnt completely bad. i thought it was funny when barts penis came out. that was unnexpected. but they could have done alot better, it was just like watching a very long simpsons episode. me and my wife both thought it was a let down, we were expecting better, i rate it 3 stars out of 5. peace.
you dont like anything animated? not even southpark, futurama, american dad, family guy, king of the hill,? is it because they are animated or you dont like commedy? ps, was that the movie about the rat who cooks? peace.
you have never watched a single episode? do they not show it where you are?. here are some episodes. http://tv-links.co.uk/listings/2/166 peace.
I wouldn't know, I don't watch tv and I certainly haven't got the time to look through 20 years of cartoon episodes, lol! I'll have a look at the film some time.
Not anymore it won't be! Are you one of the dudes that came out of the star wars movie and walked past the queue saying "I can't believe vader is lukes father!"Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I'm not into cartoons/animation. Family Guy can be funny but I have to be stoned. Ratatouille is the Pixar movie about the rat in Paris that loves fine dining.
I honestly think that the movie would have scored somewhere in the midst of the seasons, perhaps somewhere in late 1990s or early 2000s? We've been spoiled by the likes of The Incredibles and Shrek. That being said, even though I found the Simpsons Movie was fair, maybe 2.5 or 3 (at most) stars out of 5, there was room for improvement. The skateboard sketch however was hilarious. Perhaps what has robbed the Simpsons Movie of its potential is that the audience has become unaccepting of "long run episode" movies; we expect something better than a larger TV episode. The XFiles movie had the same effect. Good, but not great.
