Ofcourse most animals bred for meat lead horrible lives. But that doesnt mean we should decimate the wildlife now does it ? There is no way all humans can live off hunted animals, or at least not for very long before they die out. Live stock is a neccesary evil im afraid. But leave nature alone please.
so how do you suggest i stay alive, when i am living alone in mountain ranges and other forms of terrain without human contact. do you suggest i dont go and live in the wild each year?. howmany wild animals and natural elements do you think are destroyed due to your modern lifestyle? what do you suggest i do then?, peace.
Well from the PLETHORA of ranches on this planet that use cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens for pretty much the same reason, then I'd say yes. And I'm sure it would also depend on what you were killing them for. If it were for food, and/or something useful, then I don't see a problem with that. If you were going to be pitting them against one another to the death for your simple entertainment pleasure then, that's a big negative. Do you see the difference between the two? Apparently not if you're even asking a question like that.
Hunting is necessary at times for some cultures, so there is nothing wrong with that. Hunting for fun? Blasting wildlife from Jeeps with big guns? Barbaric. I say hunters should be hunted down and killed, in those cases. Sorry Ted Nugent, you too. Dogfighting is barbaric in every circumstance. Participants should be killed. (IMO)
You do realize that Ted Nugent does eat virtually everything he kills. The excpetion being some of the mostly inedible animals tagged for destruction thanks to disease or other occurence.
i would say dog fighting...becuase i love dogs and i think it's cruel all the efort you have to put into breeding a dog to fight eg stafodshire bull terrier they were bred to fight and i just think that is realy sad Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Says the guy who thinks we're primitive for hunting for sustenance. Go back in your cave. No, seriously... go back in your cave.
Most people (those in advanced capitalist societies for instance) don't need to hunt for sustenance though. There is a distinction between trophy hunting by heavily armed murder squads and hunting by those whose lives depend upon it. Anyone who believes that hunting can't lead to mass extinction should consider the fate of birds such as the passenger pigeon which was once one of the most common bird in the USA. The bird was subjected to unrelentless hunting at the end of the 19th century (could that have co-incided with 'improved' weaponry?) and was more or less extinct by 1914. Over 30 million birds! Where animals are under pressure from habitat loss and polution, hunting even under strict regulation can finish a species off. If that's not a sobering perspective I don't know what is. So enjoy your game pie and sausages cavemen.
yes it does, i am a meat eater and i am not affraid to say so, the thing with rabbit is that it is best eaten in a pie or stew with pigeon. Also game pie is nice, but difficult to make.
