What do you want to know? There are some historians who believe that huscarls swung their axes in a lateral figure 8 fashion to minimize the time they were without defense.

That's what I'd heard - I was surprised when you said the spear-men were there for recovery protection.

because they look cool, i collect all types of weapons, swords, knives, daggers, spears, bows, crossbows, flails, maces, staffs, sais, the list goes on.

i also have studied martial arts since i was 4 years old, i train with weapons alot. i also dabble in self defence training with and without weapons part time.

    who doesent like swords?

    peace.

that would kind of be dangerous if he swung in a wide figure of 8 pattern to have any troops stood by him.

like those who wield the claymore could not stand in close formation when they fought for obvious reasons.

what does this huge axe look like? i dont know much about this, actualy i will look it up.

    peace.

I don't really care about weapons and the like (unless they're pointed at me), but I do think the kukri is super sexy.

Well I've heard both versions as with anything of this sort without concrete written descriptions it's hard to say for certain.

I've never really liked damascus blades. I like to think of a knife being used hard and regularly. Damascus doesn't fit with that image

the axe head is to small for the long shaft. and innafective to use as a spear type weapon.

i guess it has its use but i wouldent like to take to the battlefield with that personaly.

    peace.

It is a viable weapon the swords you are referring to aren't
It isn't a spear type weapon it is a chopping type weapon and it could kill a horse with one well placed blow. What you would like to take to the battlefield depends on the circumstances and for a period of time a daneaxe was a good choice.

lol the swords i posted up are not for battle. they are for show. in the right hands it was most likely a good weapon, i have never trained with this type of weapon before, my first thought was that the head looked too small and maybe could do with a bit more blade. but i guees the person using it would be trained well in its use and be able to be accurate,

    peace.

I would like to just say firstly that my katana would likely break that easily and that that bulky thing would be useless in any sword fight. That said why on Earth would you want a replica of a sword belonging to arguably the most boring protagonist of all FF games? You actually like that emo angst-filled delusional bishounen? Eh... don't answer. From the picture it's obvious. Anyhow you should really cosplay as Cloud at an otaku convention. I recommend lots of gel ne. kudos for being brave enough to show that pic. You sir have been given an official otaku badge.

ofcourse it would be useless in a sword fight, its a novelty item for display. and i dont have to like cloud to like the sword he had

. i have many swords and other weapons. i have been training with them for years since i was a small child.

and i think you had that picture confused slightly and maybe you thought that was me in the picture? i got the impression you thought i was the guy holding the sword but i wasnt. thats why i types "some guy holding the sword" above the picture, i dont own the buster sword but i want to get one to add to my sword collection.

i own many fine swords. from hanwei hand forged katanas, paul chen taiji gim swords. cold steel blades. the list goes on and on i most likely have over 100 hand 2 hand weapons and an array or projectiles aswell. recurve bows compound bows. longbows, crossbows.

and at the shaolin temple i train with my humble bo staff mostly wich is my fav weapon, a plain old stick.

    peace.

    Hi Chi ,

Nice sword , I am not really into these things - I ´m too peacefull ( and normally used firearms when I was in the army ) ........
Anyway , I got a kukri myself (bought in Nepal) and I can see the beauty in an nice handmade blade - I also liked the ethiopian swords (handmade and curved to hit over or beside their small round shields made out of buffalohide) ........

You might check out this site , I think they ship international - but in my country you would need a weaponlicense to have them .....
