One of the Worst Days of my Life (illegal immigration bill)

Sandy, I completely agree with iceaura's earlier post. With you being one of the staunchest anti-illegal immigrant posters on this forum, I'm very curious about your opinion on it. And, if you agree with it's sentiments, what actions you would take to support it (considering how much work you seem to have done to put down the amnesty bill!)?

I agree with the idea that you can't kill every ant in the workday so you close the lid to the sugar. I can see myself in the illegals shoes and know for a fact that if I was born in Mexico I would be an illegal sending back money to support my family. I dont hate them. I dislike the changes that they are causing to my country. I agree that the only way to stop this problem is either to surrender (like heck) or to go after the demand. It is nearly impossible to stop each of the 12. million illegals. We can go after their employers though. It would be nice if we could figure out a way to help the mexican people regain control of their destinies so that their country would become a better place to lives so that they would not have to leave their homes to earn a living.

I want all immigration stopped. We have enough people here. The numbers are off. There are more like 50 million. No gov agency will release these figures because they know Americans will revolt, riot, protest, raise hell. There have to be at least 20 million alone in CA. My beautiful state is a disaster area.

We have enough of them and everyone else. We DON'T WANT any more immigrants. Look what happened to us since we let them in-- in 1986 after the Kennedy shamnesty bill. They took advantage of us, invaded us, and are destroying OUR country. You want them? Fine. Post your address and we'll send over a few million.

Nope. I'm done with immigrants. We have enough. We don't need anymore. Our country is overflowing with criminal aliens. No more immigrants for at least 20 years until we get this invasion under control. The immigrants who are here legally are fine. No more immigrants of ANY kind for ANY reason.

Africa and China do not share a land border with the United States. The largest number of illegal immigrants is hispanics. There are many different hispanic countries that have economic refugees coming to America without proper documentation. How is that for a euphemism for illegal imigrants? It is impossible to get accurate numbers but between 10 and 50 million are the usual estimates. I cannot in good conscience support denying children welfare benefits. How can we let any one starve in America especially children? I am slowly coming to the conclusion that it might be a wise decision to withhold citizenship from the illegals children. Why should we reward the child for the illegal actions of its parents. If we deny them citizenship aren't we just creating a perpetual underclass of exploited people? It gets very complicated with no good answers. It makes me mad that we are being forced into these kinds of decisions because of the criminal actions of some desperate people.

So Sandy, now that the U.S senate has killed the immig bill reform again. What next? I mean what next for the 12 million undocumenteds that roam around? What next for the fact that the illegal alien's children will never afford education for their children? What next for that fact that they will continue to feed off welfares and stay off the books? How do you think they feel towards American citizens now? Any ideas?

Enforce the law passed in 1983 sponsored by Teddy Kennedy, if they didn't come out of the shadows since then and become legal deport them, they have been given many chances, if they haven't done anything by now to legalize their status it means that they are breaking the law and don't want to obey the law 24 years and they couldn't get the legalization done, the LAW, enforce it, it is enforce on us legal citizens everyday of our lives, and legal Aliens everyday they are in this country, and you don't cry about that, so why cry about the ILLEGAL ALIENS who have committed felony acts already, and who continue to break the law today, even after 24 years of the chance to convert from Illegal to Legal status.
