Do any of you want to know how George Lucas creates SW film? Hmmmm? He puts a bunch of nerds in a room (aside from the script) and they come up with ideas (which would explain some of the copied parts of SW from ST such as Photon Torpedos - ST --- to ---> Proton Torpedos SW). Then Lucas comes in and picks what he wants and what he doesn't want. It's true. Iv'e seen it on the bonus features of SW III ROTS DVD.

Ok more skill to press a button or wield a lightsaber? Seriously guys I mean I will give you credit that it is impressive you can like shoot something and vaporize it but which one holds your attention. Honestly! Who gets more respect. Oh here is a pat on the back for pressing a button. Wait a second you can block lasers and stab people sweet. Also star wars was a past thing and star trek is future thing so yea. Honestly lightsaber wins. Respect and entertainment think about it.

Stand and walk around maybe, but the captain's chair in the middle was defenately copied. Take a look at the USS Texes bridge layout http://www.gwpda.org/naval/w05texct.htm

True, it takes more skill, but it's a simple truth.

Warrior, take this for your skill analysis.

Who would win in a dogfight?

A World War One Fighter Ace, or a guy fresh out of flight school in an F/A-18?

Yeah, the F/A-18 hands down, skill not making a damn bit of difference.

Actully the F/A-18 isn't as good as you think on a comepletely unrelated topic, source http://www.flightjournal.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=F999E8C39FCE47DEB4CDBABBFBF37179&nm=The+Magazine&type=PubPagi&mod=Publications%3A%3AArticle+Title&mid=13B2F0D0AFA04476A2ACC02ED28A405F&tier=4&id=660129034AD142DEB047684EBF25581F

I know, but compared to a World War 1 plane the ONLY way it could loose is if the pilot crashes himself.

A good number of Sci-Fi I think. Warhammer 40k would likely beat anything save for the Borg, who if manage to assimilate even one ship, screws the entire enemy.

I don't know of any other off hand, but I'm sure there are a good few, hmmm, I suppose the Daleks or the Time Lords could win too, but not against the future UFP version, who hold more firepower than even the Time Lords.

True, it takes more skill to use a lightsaber, but it also takes alot more training. A hundred men with phasers is alot more useful than twenty five with lightsabers based upon the fact of a huge level of firepower difference, not to mention range.

As they say, quantity is a quality on its own.

Such as? Borg assimilation tubes can puncture almost any type of metal or shield.

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but how well would the borg do against the empire?
