    LOL! "me no likey".

I must be an architectural fence-sitter, 'cause I really like 'em all. Both Frank's are awesome. FLW's - I've been to PA to see Falling Water, plus I lived in Phoenix where much of his work can be seen; and FG's - is awesome too, when I lived in Spain, I went to Bilboa to see the Gugenheim[sp] and here in Cleveland the Peter B. Lewis building was designed by him. Hands down-- Gehry wins, though!

Gehry's most eye-catching work is probably the Weisman Art Museum. Don't know if this will change anyone's mind:

I like the usual : IM Pei, Norman Foster, Cesar Pelli, and the Spanish dude who designed the bionic tower concept.

Fucking awesome, I've been trying to discuss Architecture for a while on here, finally theres a good place for it.

I'd have to say that Santiago Calatrava is one of the best right now. His combination of Design and Engineering education really shows in the dynamics of his buildings. Also, they all have at least one element that opens and closes by folding.

    That doesn't exist... yet....

I wonder how they will deal with the winds, given the twist...!

the tower can still sway even though it has a twisted structure. it would just require a few alterations.

It's actually designed to utilise the wind power to generate power for other structures. It's able to power up to ten identical towers this way.

by using the sway of the building itself to generate it?

No, by using wind turbines in between each floor (incidentally, seems I was wrong about it powering 10 identical towers. A mere five, it seems):

its a good idea, they could make so many improvements on all of the modern buildings for energy supply, i think all buildings should be built with turbines and solar pannels as standard.

we could solve all of the worlds energy crisis with solar, wind and hydro powers, the deserts of the world are not even used much, we could erect huge amounts of solar systems in the deserts, im sure the calculatios have been done in the past, and i bet we only need to use 1-2 deserts to solve most of the worlds power supply problems,

    peace.

Not even. The red squares indicate the areas that would need to be equipped with solar plants in order to meet current energy requirements
for the world, Europe and Germany respectively:
