Your evidence does not debunk global warming. I'm not surprised that the same people that disbelieve in global warming are also dominionist Christian types that think the Earth was all put here for humans anyway, therefore the side effects of our prosperity cannot be doing harm.

We have dominion over the earth and all that is in it. Yes we should be good stewards. But global warming will not be an issue in our lifetimes. Nor in that of our grandchildren. The same people shouting about global warming were screaming about global cooling in the 70s.

Denying Global warming is fine, it really is not happening,
but Global Climate Change IS happening

and yes a Snowball Earth is really one stop away from the next stop..... which will be Global Drought

OK, make a specific prediction. What do you mean by "hell". I'd be willing to bet that there will be no significant change in the climate in the next ten years. Certainly nothing we'd describe as "hell"

Remember, Paul Erlich made some predictions regarding impending enviromental disaster that would occur by the end of the eighties and result in hundreds of million of deaths. He was wrong, way wrong.

My money says you are too.

Hell no! we should destroy the earth because it's fun to set shit on fire! We want to watch the sky burn before it falls on our head and crushes our bones.

    sandy:

You have already been told by people more knowledgable than you are than an average global temperature rise does not mean that local temperatures rise uniformly everywhere.

To continue to make the same incorrect point over and over again is just trolling. Please stop it.

Please cite your sources for these conclusions. Thankyou.

It's all about practical solutions. The solution to climate change is to upgrade capitalism, and invent new breeds of corporations. We must redesign everything, and we should start with the corporation.

Think about it, the software running this site, is upgraded more often than our corporate laws. Why don't we have social corporations which can run tax free as long as they are dedicated to solving a social agenda??

Why are for profit and non profit seperate when they can be combined into a new corporate classification?

I don't understand why people even debate whether Climate change is real or not, it's real, look at the smog!

Now, how do we solve it?

Please! plenty of people are dying of diseases and of cancer, from our own pollution. You think all the chemicals we put into everything we buy and consume are healthy? You think those pesticides on/in our food is healthy? Our grandkids may end up as mutants, thats if fertility rates don't drop due to the chemical pollution.

Actually, let's not argue with these people. We know they own stock in tabacco, oil, etc. I wish I had stock myself, I mean seriously, we can expect shareholders to deny the existence of climate change.

WTF? My scientist friends all say global warming is a crock. So do many others. So now their and my opinions are trolling?

Source for the dominion over earth comment? The Bible. God said it first. Take it up with Him.

"In the beginning, God made man in His image and gave him dominion over everything in the Earth (Genesis 1:26–28).

My parents had liberal friends who were freaked out in the 70s thinking they were going to freeze to death because of the "global cooling" scare. I see this new global warming hype as similar.

Really? Most polls find that the majority of scientists and Americans acknowledge reality.

When a die is loaded on a side, say 1, why try to argue that it is not loaded whenever it lands on a 6 or a 5? Because it still will. But it doesn't disprove the fact that the die is loaded.

People are dying of cancer because they are not dying of polio or the flu. We're not immortal. We will all die of something. Since we've just about conquered infectious disease, we now die of flaws inherent to our bodies (heart disease or cancer). And fertility rates? They're low on purpose. Get rid of birth control and abortion, and fertility would go thru the roof.

The World Net Daily is more damaging to our society than what they allegedly "report" there. These 'ultra-conservatives' still believe the universe came into existence 6000 years ago.

Sadly, their voices are as loud as they are obnoxious. To quote it as a source is as credible as sourcing the bible.

If you look at his predictions more carefully, he wasn't all that far off, and the consensus of scientists studying the problem at the time, - the folks comparable to the current warning crowd on CO2 - was not off at all.

The population bomb predictions included the collapse of the Soviet Union (which caught Reagan's administration almost completely by surprise), the warfare and genocide in Rwanda and Somalia and Sudan and Central Africa, and several other otherwise unpredicted features of our modern world - and of course the population is still bombing, or booming, or whatever. Ehrlich isn't "way wrong" yet, just off by forty years or so, so far.
