Spiders, earwigs, Beatles, i am sure there is a huge increase in them this year ,do bugs thrive in a warmer climate, any way of getting rid of them without toxic sprays?
They do tend to thrive in warmer, wetter weather. I suggest making a toad house outside, because toads eat lots of bugs. Same with birdhouses, and bat-houses. You can also buy praying mantis eggs, and ladybugs, they eat lots of bad bugs, too.
Other bugs are the best way. Here in Norway we have been blissfully free of coachroachs but they have started showing up. Yeah like spider says bird and bat houses are good bats eat huge amouts of bugs.
Good ideas, thanks. I should think one of these spiders will be a feast for a toad, they are mutants.
Have another look... I'm pretty sure their numbers are decreasing... Hiyooooooooooooooooo !!! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I have seen 3 BIG spiders in my living room in the last half hour and i have to clear webs daily, i must have some of the most prodigious web spinners in the world.
I've noticed lots of spiders around recently. I let them do their thing. If there were any proper poisonous in the UK I might be worried, but they're all harmless little things that are fun to watch. Except midgies. Grr. Still, they're not really out yet.
If can find a way to capture the little Bs intact i will send you all of mine, i am sure there are some new species amongst them. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
