[ENC]Jesus[/ENC]. I find it terribly annoying in GTA: San Andreas that once in a while they take away all your nice weapons.

    well...grrrrrrrr.

    Quit > Load Previous Game

I think that's the usual method of in a number of games to keep those items that you lose from getting yourself whacked.

I found though I didn't suffer so much from dieing in GTA, but more from the police "Busted". You could be happily shooting away at everyone while being unaware of an approaching car driver from your rear, they knock you over and
by the time you stand up there's a policeman pointing a gun at you telling you that perhaps you should calm your antics and follow them down the station. You don't even get the chance to resist arrest.

I've been recently playing the XBOX 360 version of Gangsters which I got with my new Core unit, My DVD Drive started giving out a "Unplayable disc" error to every disc that was playable, I decided to look to see what the problem was... one thing lead to another and my old XBOX 360 now sits sporting no DVD drive or case...
    Morals to this story:
Use the right tools for the right job.
A hammer is not a "fix all" tool.
The silver warranty tape is a pain the butt to peel back without breaking.

I have declared the old remnants of the XBOX 360 to be used in a future modding operation, however I will have to save for all the newfangled fancy components I intend to fit and do alot of reading on how to capture the old DVD's lock code to fit a replacement drive.

It's obviously something I'll slap on a blog should I get the capital up to do it.

Hey I modded my Xbox with evo chip and slayer's shell. I have not found a good reason to buy a 360, because:

    A) The 360 does not accept huge HDs, nor can you copy games to HD and have them work without CD.

    B) Have a fairly new computer which looks way better for most titles.

    C) am not interested in the 360 "only" games.

    D) 360 has very very few games for small kids.

Has the modability of the 360 changed at all? Is it as good as the xbox was/is yet?

Well I've seen working examples of firmware flashes that deal with the DVD-ROM security so that "Copied" disc's can work, however to my knowledge that particular Flash has been kept away from the P.D. (Public Domain)

There are also various modhacks for placing Larger hard drives in both the XBOX 360 or even connecting the hard drive to the PC. There is also chipset technology I believe for generating virtual drives on said hard drives.

All of those things are completely unsupported by Microsoft and invalidate a warranty (if not a bunch of laws too). The main concern for anyone however deciding to get their box chipped would be that Microsoft could at anytime, reverse engineer how the chipset works and create a firmware update for the box to stop someone from running copied games. (perhaps even banning them from XBOX live by the consoles serial number etc, so even changing your username or account won't be enough to escape.)

The Modders and Hackers have been increasing though, since it's now greater than 1 year from the first box being available on the market. This is an important period since Microsoft gave a 1 year warranty on the XBOX's, when the warranty runs out you can either go about getting an extended one or turn your BOX into a modded one.

Hate it when that happens, some games are good for adding drop boxes in containing what you lost, unfortunately not in GTA:SA.

    Found any interesting bugs yet?
I found a couple, like one would be if you rode over a car in a monster truck it would cause the car to become perpendicular to the road surface with it's front end embedded into the tarmac. Look like some of those "Car Art" exhibitions that involve old Junked wrecks.

Another one also involved the monster truck, I somehow flipped it into the air and it took about 5 minutes to return the ground.

Try drinking alcohol before playing too, as it definitely suggests that driving while drunk would be an accident waiting to happen.

What's a great racing game for the PC that's out now? (i.e not Test Drive Unlimited) I want great graphics, none of this street racing nonsense, and a nice realistic "behind the wheel" view. Not F1 or NASCAR or anything like that, real production cars etc.
