I'm really getting into MSNBC lately, and Countdown is one of my favourite shows. I think Olberman is hilarious- especially The Worst Person. And somebody is finally REALLY going after Bill O'Reilly which is even better. Tonite he had on the Ann Coulter remark about Sen. John Edwards as The Worst Person.
I think he is a hack. Also: Ann Coulter's remarks were HILARIOUS. SEriously. That is the type of comedy we need in politics more often.
As an entertainer, Olberman is about a C, as a newsman, a D, as an opinion maker, he's a laughable straw-grasping slash and burn guy, who seems bitter that more people don't think he's funny. Rather pathetic, a poor man's Rush Limbaugh. Why do they allow him to have a "news" show? He is more of a cheap vaudeville act, complete with rim shots and silly faces, do they have a barely comedy channel for him?
Olberman is hilarious, I sometimes catch his show on YouTube. One time (Bill O'Reilly I believe) asked a smart arse question about France (His assumption was that no one would know what he was talking about). Olberman answered the question and returned with a question about the same topic only he asked it in French. O'Reilly sat there looking like he had pie on his face! Olberman asked again in English - O'Reilly still had no idea. Totally funny! So no Olberman is not a hack, unless you mean he has a sort of Denise Miller high-brow comic attitude. I'll take that kind of hack anyday. Especially given Denise Miller has gone so militant lately??? Michael
Dennis Miller is very entertaining. Even on talk shows on which he guests. However, his interview skills are too bland.
So I am guessing that you're not a fan of The Colbert Report or John Stewart either? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Stewart is hilarious. I don't want to have cable and I now live in AU so I don't watch The Colbert Report - why is it pretty good? Maybe I'll YouTube it?
If he is on You Tube you should check him out. He is hilarious as wellPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! , especially when he interviews US Congressmen and Senators. He also does other interviews with people like Larry King and stuff like that.
