Other than the racist overtone, could you please tell me how this is related... AT ALL to Apartheid? Or is Apartheid just a cool word you think you know the meaning to that you heard on the news?

It is, its used by the Islamic community every oppertunity they get.. normally in reference to Israel.

Apartheid means "Seperate living". In South Africa`s past, some dumb idiot came up with this concept. Black people were shipped off to homelands (ie, they were given a whole lot of countries such as Ciskei and Transkei.), did not have basic human rights (outside of their homelands), and did not have the right to vote. They had no recourse legally. Blacks were not allowed to live in white areas, and whites were not allowed to live in black area. BY LAW.

It is nothing like the dalits or the Israeli/Arab situation.

    Sorry predator_190

i already like you. that is what i always said to all those people who used the word here. but it never bothered them. i even heard on tv a black priest from the us who said that the use of that word in this conflict is insulting. welcome

It is. The people who use the word so often are watering down the importance of the issue. I know comments like this infuriate the local black population, because they fought and earned their freedoms, and at the end found a peaceful way out. It was a major moment in our history, and its terrible when it gets used to compare God penis size.

predator_190: "i think the use of the word apartheid is misleading."

Like it or not, "apartheid" does have both colloquial and legal relevance beyond the context of the old South Africa.

I understand that, but it is a South African concept, and if you are going to use the word, use it propley. Its not even the same ideology

Using your logic I can call any country with an army a Nazi regime, because the Nazi regime and countries with armies all had an "army" in common.

The reason why the above statement is stupid is because their is more to the term "Nazi" than the word "army", just like there is more to the word "Apartheid" ( A proper noun), than what these articles make out.

Or have you decided to go with a new type of argument? Its no longer the "Hitler" card, its now the "Apartheid" card.

Nazi means fascist; Fascism is "a set of ideologies and practices that seeks to place the nation, defined in exclusive biological, cultural, and / or historical terms, above all other sources of loyalty, and to create a mobilized national community".

One can logically and accurately use "nazi" to describe anyone behaving as one.

"Using your logic I can call any country with an army a Nazi regime"

No, if you twist it up that unrecognizeably I certainly can't claim it anymore.

"have you decided to go with a new type of argument? Its no longer the "Hitler" card, its now the "Apartheid" card."

    I'm not playing cards here.

Another time maybe. Learn about Apartheid please, you dishonor the memory of all those who fought to overthrow the regime.

I also suggest your browse through the Logical Fallacy website so you might understand my previous post.

"you dishonor the memory of all those who fought to overthrow the regime."

    How so?

"I also suggest your browse through the Logical Fallacy website so you might understand my previous post."

Thanks, but the fallacies there were obvious to me without need for such a reference.
