There are alot of young people here. More than any other forum I've been. I've even had to take some people off my Ignore List because I discovered they were only 15!!!!

I picked the wrong courses, didn't find it life affirming in any way..

Well, I'm trying to think of something to say that doesn't make me sound lazy, but I just didn't like it, if I'm honest.

I want to earn some money and get on the property ladder. Looking into some IT certifications - MSCE and that kind of thing.

I didn't stay in the halls, or near uni, and commuted in every day. I think one of the main points of uni is the social side. Being there, being involved in every day stuff and getting pissed all the time. It isn't really my scene, but I couldn't do it anyway.

Anyway, I'm looking for a job, some cert's or training to do and I want to do an open uni degree in the future. For now, happiness and some money is what I need

Phonetic, you could always change course, seriously, there’s bound to be a course out there that is right for you. A degree is good in the long run, I hear that all the time from guys that don’t have one. All the major employers want one as well. Trust me, those graduation pics look nice as well, lol.

Getting on the property ladder is hard, us youngens cant do that on our own thesedays, we’ll need to get some mates together or maybe do it with the old man, I want to get into property too but am tied up with my final few months of uni, one piece of coursework, one dissertation and four exams and then I’m off to Pakistan for a well earned break.

Phonetic, speak to a careers advisor.

I agree with you Phoentic. The reason I'm not going to college right now is because I just never fit in at school. Everyone was always teasing me, treating me like nothing. I made few friends in High School, when I went to college things got even worse with them not even speaking to me. I'd walk around aimlessly wondering when I'd meet someone that actually spoke to me, it never happened. For a long time I felt really terrible about needing to live at home, it was depressing for me... now I feel better because I met this girl in Mexico that was really bright, she told me that in her country people live with their families forever! LMAO I was like damn, a whole nation living together with their families, cool.

So yeah I am feelin abit better now.

21, living alone, trying to get in uni.

Failing badly as "studying what someone else said, to the letter" (that is, memorizing meaningless trivia) isn't exactly my strength..

I'm 63. Last time we did this there was at least one guy older than me. But the average age here is indeed below 20. Three or four years ago it was 15, but with the dropoff in membership that may have changed.
