http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dxwmfs2_1d2rcgs&revision=_published Yup, I'm finally applying to college. What do you think of the resume? Good enough to counter a 2.5 GPA? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Thanks
Looks good. I like the bit about risk assessment in climbing. You should fly it. What course are you going for?

Oh man, you've got kids, huh. In ten years, you'll see what it's all about (unless there's a huge turnaround). For the mid and upper echelon colleges, they want 1 general standardized test (SAT or ACT), plus several specialized standardized tests (SAT IIs, ACT, AP scores). They'll also want an essay or two, and perhaps a piece of graded work. They want to see a high GPA and rigorous classes; like APs. They want to see involvement in extracurricular activities– serious involvment. Submissions of art portfolios, play videos for sports, tapes of musical performance, as well as copies of awards are commonly submitted material. They'll ask you to list job experience, the time spent on extracurriculars, as well as any achievements you've made. Newspaper clippings, certificates, etc. Here's the commonapp, which the vast majority of colleges accept: http://www.commonapp.org/
draqon, like what Roman said, the resume was only part of the application I also had about 8 short essays, and two longer ones, as well as the normal name / age / GPA. That's it though, SAT / ACT were optional. I decided not to submit my scores because I'm a tad lazy Genji, i hope you're a girl Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
No idea Maybe a science. Optimally something that will take me all over the place and overseas, not a desk job. Suggestions?
