It's impossible to hamper one's spiritual advancement. Whatever we do, even if we would try to hamper it, we're always going closer to the infinity that can't be reached.

We are God, but we have to limit ourself in order to experience infinite evolution. Without experiencing our infinity, we couldn't be God/nothing.

then why does practically any religion/spiritual philosophy you care to mention establisha distinction between illusion and realization?

It becomes very difficult to establish that we are god mainly because we do not exhibit his qualities eg - omnipotent, omniscient, cause of all causes, infallible etc.
Either you have an overly active imagination or a weak definition of god

because they think there is an eternal realization/nirvana/heaven/samadhi.

but nothing lasts forever. change is the only thing that lasts forever.

we used our omnipotence to make ourselves powerless.

god wouldn't be perfect without imperfections/growth.

what is perfection without anyone (imperfection) to discover, perceive and appreciate it?

our imperfections and mistakes are perfect because they allow us to discover perfection.

truely enlightened being realise the futility in trying to enlighten anyone! So truely enlightened beings do not obviously 'teach' they may however invisibly guide

whats the difference between being an "invisible guide" and a teacher - you seem to be advocating that noone should instruct anyone regarding spiritual life, but this in itself is an instruction to people regarding spiritual life - if you truly felt like this you wouldn't feel the need to open your mouth on th esubject, much less participate in a discussion about it

and what makes you think what they are thinking is wrong?

then god doesn't reign supreme but illusion does

just because failure is the pillar of success for someone under illusion, it doesn't mean go d operates out of the same principles of self growth

this problem is solved by the distinction between god and his seperated parts and parcels
The Supreme Lord is eternal and the living beings are eternal. The Supreme Lord is cognizant and the living beings are cognizant. The difference is that the Supreme Lord is supplying all the necessities of life for the many other living entities. (katha upanisad 2.2.13)

thats the distinction between god (who is perfectly perfect) and the living entity (who can come to the platform of knowing the perfectly perfect person)

    I offered no advice,

a question was asked, I answered it as I felt fit.

I am not enlightened, I am a gnat..........so are you

the point I make re the gnat thing is simply this:

    we are all equal

Now if this translates into believing we are all 'special' so be it. It's just semantics.

We are either ALL special or we are ALL not special but we are ALL equal

you can take a horse to water but you cannot make it drink

If you could then all the religious wars/conflicts that result in bloodshed and death would not happen.

therefore an essential aspect of spirituality is free will (one's inclimation to accept it or reject it, or as is more commonly observed, reject those parts one feels do not meet with one's personal needs, interests and concerns).

not all horses that are taken to water don't drink

    agreed,

    some drink too much

then piss it all over the place, we fall and slip up in the mess they create

regardless of people and their bladders, the fact is that our free will can come under the influence of things that we perceive of as great - this tendency can be an achilles heel in the case of illusion or a great benediction in terms of enligtenment

because i'm not in heaven. eternity can't start somewhere in time. it must always have existed.

if both the material and spiritual realms are eternal (yet one being an abode of ignorance and the other being an abode of illumination) what is the problem for an eternal living entity to vacillate between the two?

if one cannot have wisdom in foresight one can always have it in hindsight
