Teach "Evolution," Not Darwinian Evolution

Darwinists want our children to believe that goo morphed into you, Darwinian evolution, so since this is obviously an unscientific notion, such should be taught under philosophy, or fairy tales, not science.

Evolution per se should be taught, the study of the genetic variations within syngameons is good science, and an interesting field of investigation within this perview is to investigate the extent of the syngameons, for instance, many birds which are considered to be of different so-called species can interbreed, the extents of these common gene pools should be of great interest to scientists for the potentials for hybridization, and since the term species is obviously meaningless, a new structure to categorize animals should be taught, not the specious species routine now proponed to be good science.

Leave sci-fi Darwinism in the philosophy or folktale department, it's not science, so let's teach Evolution (the historical genetic variation within syngameons), but not that goo morphed into you, a plainly philosopical/religious notion.

Should we just ignore ideas that offend you?

No, intellectual freedom and honesty is oxymoronic to academic censorship, do you agree?

No, we shouldn't ignore it. But perhaps we shouldn't teach/force our children to learn things that we don't know is 100% positive, and with 100% verifiable proof. That ain't too good, either, is it?

Evolution is a fine theory, and in many instances I think it's verifiabe to a certain degree. But evolution only takes us back so far ...then what? It all becomes rather murky and unclear, don't it? So what are we teaching our children? ...that life just leaped up one day out of the soupy murk? ..and crawled out onto the land and evolved into a human?

As I see it, the problem with evolution is that it can't answer it's own ideas about a starting point.

If people supposedly don't have free will because of the God of the Bible, then why do people reject the God of the Bible, when that God calls all people to Him with forgiveness?

IceAge, you are making arguments from ignorance. The fossil record plainly shows periods of history populated by completely different animals and plants. When there were dinosaurs, there were no humans.

Abiogenesis is a completely rational and scientific hypothesis. You are pond scum. Welcome to the family.

One point in it's favor is the realization, with the discovery of DNA, that what we thought were "simple" micro-organisms actually share much of their DNA code with the higher animals. We share 60% of our DNA with the banana.

Supposedly, the bible explains how we do have free will to reject God, that is what makes accepting God an act worthy of reward.

Well I do not think we should be telling students "this and that happened" without informing them there are other theories out there. And I feel we should also explain WHY there are multiple theories. But to completely dump a theory and not meantion it because it offends people is wrong.

I took everything I was told back in government schools as truth until around 11th grade. But it really hit me when I started college. I learned that half of what I was told was bullshit and I was not given the overall picture of the world.

My view of the world has changed dramatically when I learned of more points of view and the reasons behind them.

A hypothisis is nothing but a fancy word for "guess".

Hmm, that just shows that god was pretty damned smart and thorough when he started this whole "life mess". Either that or he didn't want to work so hard for so long ...so he just made one "thing", then said, "Take from there, boys ....I'm gonna' go have a drink!"

I think there is a good representation in science education about the degree of confidence there is about a particular theory. They represent evolution as true the same way gravity is true, but about the particulars, the details, there are still things to be discovered, and professors are indeed honest about what we don't know.

If you were paying attention in science class (perhaps you were homeschooled?), you would know that we did not evolve from bananas, rather, we shared a common ancestor. Deal with it.

Yeah, some we bet on, and some we don't! The secret, of course, is know which one to bet on so as not to lose money.

The common ancestor of bananas and people was actually much advanced from the earliest life forms, it was already multicellular, with a nucleus in each cell.

Sorry, I'm having a hard time dealing with it, it's too funny, I can't stop laughing, so now, what do you think was the "common ancestor" which we have with the banana?!!!! (This is worthy of Saturday Night Live.)

Ahh, so it was that "earliest life form" that god created from the soup??

Well, god was trying to conserve his energy, so he used some spare parts to make the banana so man would have something to eat.
