How and what do women think?

I was wondering, what is the answer to the secret that has plagued man for so long? How do women think, and why? (lol, not why do they think, but why do they think what they do?) What kind of traits do women see as the most needed and wise for a man to have? I'm just curious as to the reaction to these questions.

Women are just as diverse as men, but as I said on another thread, women seem to mature faster than men and look for more longterm relationships, such as marriage and a family, while many men are still just looking for one-nigthers or sexual relations.

A good book on this subject would be Reviving Ophelia, it's about girls, but it will help you understand the why in your question. At least I think so, maybe not though. As far as what women find attractive, I'm fairly sure that just like anything else, there are no secrets or shortcuts. My philosophy is that confidence and discipline are the keys to being successful at almost anything. Then again, discipline doesn't really apply well all the time.

Represents precisely the feeling I got when around Carmen. I felt as if she wanted me to get to know her personally but was making very little attempt to do the same. It got me wondering, what if this girl doesn't care who I am, just that I am a nice guy she can get help from? I suspect this would've eventually occurred if I'd gotten together with her, she'd end up cheating with some gerk an then blaming me for it!

 

Forget about faithfulness: unless you're the most unpredictable and exciting guy, "your" "girlfriend" (yes, those quotes are intentional) will likely cheat on you if she's even remotely attractive. It's a fucking fact of life...

You guys have definitely been meeting the wrong type of women.

Women and men fall under many different categories of type. It is fundamentally wrong to say that women are like this and men are like that, because although there are differences, they're not as clearcut and generalised as myths would have us believe.

The biggest difference between the sexes is that women are more at the mercy of almost daily hormonal changes, which tend to affect the way they feel, think and act. Their monthly hormonal cycle is in action on a daily basis albeit in small incremental steps, this is why they may seem erratic in their behaviour. Women are also far more in tune with their emotional faculties than men, which may manifest as big dollops of anger, impatience, joy and grief and is liable to make men wary of them because most men can't handle or comprehend too much display of emotion.

Many men may perceive their woman as being 'heavy', so they seek solace in escapism: drugs, drink, affairs, hanging with the lads, selfish hobbies etc etc. It shouldn't be a wonder then why their woman might react by simply copying their man and then to manipulate the situation in their favour. Many women are far more clever than men would like to give them credit for.

EDIT: I almost forgot to mention the massive influence that emancipation has had on women over the past century and especially in the last 50 years. Women's magazines abound and they are full of pro female propaganda. The bottom line of the message? Women are superior to and will not take any more bullshit from men.

Men have to grow and to change their attitudes.

Men have been doing that for decades already ....and as they changed, the divorce rate climbed steadily to where it's now over 50% within the first few years of marriage. Doesn't that tell you something?

I think that is probably due to the men not changing as much as the women have.

 

Are you sorta' implying that it's a never-ending cycle? The men try to change for the women, yet the women keep on changing and so stay steadily in front of the men? And this keeps going on and on? And so the rate of failure of marriages will just keep climbing until it's 100% failure?

i think men who view or feel disrespect toward women are actually gay because they evidently love men but are too weak to admit it, and have to resort to angry, deviant, shallow and callous sexual behavior to have intercourse with women because evidently they don't understand them much as a stranger so blame them for it and affirm they are men by god! Heterosexual gays are the weakest, homosexual gays respect women because they don't have a problem with their sexuality. haha

a lot of the complaints are misplaced. the blindspot is its not women or men but the type of person. there are good people and bad and for the most part their are a lot more bad or immature people. those who keep going after those who mistreat them that goes for men as well are being hypocritical because though they won't admit it to themself or out of ignorance, their ARE other types of people out there that are not like this, they also probably have been rejecting the nice girl or boy as well. Its about maturity. It may take learning to judge people better not just for their character but what actually fits with and is right for you but still it can be done and it just doesn't happen by repeatedly throwing yourself against the same brick wall. Blindly dating anyone and expecting even moderate good results is just stupid even if the majority clueless society does it. Cigarette advertisements look great but are they? If you're real, then you will seek out real people or patiently wait. If you can't or won't thats your fault and no one elses.

 

I love the way you try to pin women's age-old habits on our supposed latent homosexuality. Seriously, we don't want to generalize, but women do all of these things on at least a subconscious level. It's not about maturity, but animal instincts and evolution: women fuck around with alpha males and hang around beta males to get the security they need for themselves and when the time comes, their children. Sorry to break it to ya...

 

Women want complete love, compassion and good sex. If she can get all three,.. (and she's a pretty level headed gal).. she ain't goin' no where else.
Being patient and finding that person may seem impossible but she is not going to 'do' other alpha males, if shes found it.
