UNOFFICIAL logo and background poll (large images included)

I'm making this poll more for personal interest than anything else. Kind of an experiment. The admins might or might not pay attention.

Please select all logos and backgrounds that look OK to you. Exactly where you draw the line is up to you.

If you select "None of these logos", please don't select any other logo options.
If you select "None of these backgrounds", please don't select any other background options.

I think I've managed to grab all the serious entries. My apologies if I missed anyone. I've adjusted the logos a bit, making them all (but one

) greyscale, white on black. If this were an official poll, I imagine the colors would be chosen afterward by the admins and (hopefully) the logo designer. Sorry if I butchered your logo!

All backgrounds except the "Current background" option are meant to be examples of a genre, not specific images, I think. This part is less relevant - I think pseud0 is attached to the current background (which is fair enough).

How many times people must I repeat myself? Must I chaperone and superintend this board for every instant that I am being criticized for designs that were posted as larks?? Had I decided to seriously submit anything, believe you me I would have pushed my designs to the limit: except for the logo, which underwent several stages to reach that point (and still room for more revisions), the rest was just pie filling (like all of the stuff that's been posted here -- all of it).

So -- kindly leave me out of your amateur talent show. (Certainly not a scene that would inspire me to pitch anything worthwhile. LOL.)

Sorry, no can do. Removing it now would upset the integrity of the poll. Besides, no one is criticizing you in this thread... we're expressing preferences for the images, not their creators. And I'm personally interested in how a non-serious entry fares in the preference stakes.

I don't share the american obsession with this question. Baseball is a shadow sport in Europe. Except in Finland, but they changed it and call it differently.

 

We have baseball in the UK. We call it rounders. It's played exclusively by schoolgirls. We have basketball too. But we call that netball and... guess what?

 

You don't live in america where people are very often defined by their job. If he has no other "handle", you must call him a baseball player - it is very important for the proper shuffling around of status, which is the main obsession in the U.S.A, besides the old past-time of being the de facto leaders of the new world demagocracy, that is.

P.S. re; baseball - i don't share the obsession either.
