google search

i've been experiencing hanging problems with google search.
google search is my "home page", when i open firefox google search is the site that opens.
i also have site advisor installed, this might be the problem but i don't know.
okay, i type in the search phrase in the box and hit enter or click search and the results are displayed.
scrolling through these results causes the display to hang.
even scrolling through my bookmarks while on the search page hangs.
only google behaves like this.

Site advisor is a firefox plug-in, right? If so, you can simply disable it and see if google search still hangs.

Edit: I looked it up and it doesn't look like it is a Firefox plug-in. You could try removing it altogether and, if it's not the problem, reinstall it later.

Use Google Chrome. I think it's better. If your problem doesn't resolve it could be something with your video card but most likely just a browser issue.

If you wish to continue with Firefox, the easiest method for resolution is clear cache / then re-install.

clicking on tools>add-ons shows site adviser listed so i disabled it.
solved the problem.

i only wished ALL of my problems were that easy to fix.

 

Ah, awesome. I did a quick search for site advisor earlier but no firefox add-ons/plug-ins came up.
