just lookin to get into some more space-related sci-fi, but nothing too outlandish.. i guess i'm looking for semi-realistic, or near-future space sci-fi. books i've read recently that would be good examples are arthur c. clarke's odyssey series (2001, 2010, 2061, and 3001) and carl sagan's contact. should i just go out and grab some more sagan / clarke or are there other writers of these guys' magnitude i should check out? suggestions?

:m: good enough for sagan, good enough for me :m:

If you like realistic near-future space scifi, I would suggest the Red Mars by Kim Robinson.

"Code of the Lifemaker" Can't remember the author, look it up when I get home.

Charles Sheffield is pretty good, though its a while since I read anything of his. Oh yes, and definitely read anything by Gregory Benford.
