is there any reason why no joystick will work in the gameport on my XP computers? it works fine on my other windows98 one. :confused:

I don't have a direct answer for you, but you can check to see if Windows XP is having a problem with the game port by checking it out in Device Manager.

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager.

If there's a problem, either a ? or a ! will appear next to the port listed in the device manager window.

the problem is solved, but thanks anwyay. the bios was blocking it or something like that
