i want to make a flash site, so i am using animations and stuff,but i need some help,i dont know how to add a button to my site or a timer possibly to the *swf file in flash, that redirects automatically to the original homepage...

You mean, how to attach a flash button to your html page?
I use such code as in the attachment.

A timer? You could just make an invisible flash movie that after running an X ammount of frames comes to an object which starts the code which redirects to an url. Sorry I don't know a more elegant way to do it, I'm not an actionscript master, but you can look up a lot of usueful FAQs at http://www.flashkit.com/
