i think i have this but i don't know. how does one go about getting over it?

Look if you don't like what he/she has to say don't respond...pointlessly betlittleing a person is just childish and off topic. Many people suffer the same problem as that user so either say something relating to the thread or don't bother

k, did you always have the fear of intimacy, or was there a point when you didnt?

 

Good gravy, man, one does not "try to get over it". One tries to remain true to it.

The tough part isn't getting over your "fear" (really just common sense that our culture has demonized). The tough part is integraing it with your relationships.
