A vacation is a unit of time where people who have jobs are allocated a small taste of personal autonomy, and freedom from labor. No more bowing and scraping to that ogre of a boss for a week or so. Utter bliss..

But uh-ho. You're now on vacation time.

Vacation time isn't like normal time. Instead it uses the formula:

VS = NS / (sW * sC * sN)

Where:

VS is the no. of vacation seconds left before you have to go back to work.
NS is the no. of normal seconds left before you have to go back to work.
sW is the number of seconds you spend worrying about how little time you have left before you have to go back to work.
sC is the number of seconds you have to spend doing pointless crap instead of putting your feet up and watching telly.
sN is the no. of seconds you get nagged to get off your arse and do pointless crap instead of putting your feet up and watching telly.
* is the symbol for multiply. It's exactly the same as x ("times") like you were taught in school but for some reason maths students and other geeks prefer using * instead. Don't ask me why, I've no idea, when x is perfectly functional. It's probably a means of propping up some sad, ludicrous fantasy about their parents being calculators or something.

From this we can see that a vacation second is roughly equal to 0.00003790238 of a normal second, with the result that, no sooner have you packed the car and headed for the beach, than it's time to come back again. You didn't actually think you were going to get any decent amount of time to enjoy youself in did you, you mug?
