Pigs are used in science for several purposes.

Dental Research

Pig teeth are remarkably similar to human teeth due to the fact that they are both omnivores that like to waddle in mud. Hence many studies have been done on pig teeth. Nowadays this kind of research is mostly done in China because the ethics committees are non-existent there as are labour laws.
