In science, ditz is a classification used to define humans (usually female) whose idiotic condition is the result of being blissful and non-assertive. Ditzy people also tend to be somewhat cuckoo, but their meek nature lends itself to the perception of being daffy (absurd) instead of being a full blown lunatic. Being a ditz is considered one of the milder forms of stupidity, and is either limited to individual instances, or curable through changes in behavior.
