Cthulhu has been one of the most frequently mentioned divine beings in Sciforums. Its name has been mostly used by atheists and other people who want to point out that Cthulhu is just as real as Jehowah or Allah.

Cthulhu is a fictional character in the works H.P. Lovecraft, and it belongs to a group of alien beings called the Great Old Ones which have visited and shaped this planet long before any humans appeared. Cthulhu is asleep in the great sunken city of R'lyeh from which it influences its cultists in dreams, and will awaken one day, when the stars are right. and feast upon the souls of all humans, only the followers souls will be eaten first, this is their reward, because their suffering will be shortest.
