Creationism

Creationism is the belief that the world, including all life, was created by a deity.

Mostly, we're talking about the fundamentalist Christian variety, in which the Genesis story in the Bible is assumed to be literally true, despite all the scientific evidence to the contrary.

A modern (some might say "evolved") version of creationism is Intelligent design.
