Psychosis

Psychosis means, that you are out of touch with the real world .....

The definition of psychosis is : " impaired reality testing " , which simply means, that you do not perceive reality as it is ...

Psychosis can impair the following 3 reality tests  :

1) Your senses ( all kinds of hallucinations )

2) The CONTENT of your thoughts ( all kinds of delusions )

3) The FORM of your thoughts ( severe thought disorders , forinstance causing: thought block (stop) , very fast thinking with free associations ( typically seen with maniacs ) , neologisms or wordsalad ...) .......... it is by far the most difficult to diagnose correct , and needs a trained shrink to differentiate it from benign non-psychotic thought disorders ........
