A patriot is a inhabitant of a nation who exchanges his brain for the compulsion to love his nation and accept blindly all policies dictated by his government and deny all atrocities committed by his nation. Patriotism often goes hand in hand with religious fanaticism.

Patriotism has also been defined as the belief that your country is the greatest in the world because you were accidentally born there.

Patriots are the first to die for their country. Unfortunately this does not stop new patriots from forming. Actually they only say they would die for their country, secretly they hope soemone else will instead. Preferably someone from rural hicktown USA.
