An English football team. Manchester United (aka "Man United"; "Man Utd"; "Man U"; "MUFC"; "United"; "the Reds") are the 2007 Barclays Premiership champions. They were semi-finalists in the Champions League (Europe's most prestigious annual football club competition) and finalists in the Football Association Challenge Cup (more popularly known as the FA Cup) - a domestic trophy which, established in 1871, is the world's oldest football competition.
It was thus a good season for the Reds, who were unlucky not to repeat 1999's Treble success. With United set to sign dynamic midfielder Owen Harvgreaves from German club Bayern Munich in the summer, the club looks set to build on 2007's good fortunes.
