Logo
The current SciForums logo is a result of the Great Logo Contest held in late 2006.
Pseud0 and zox became the admins and owners of SciForums when the original owner Porfiry ceded ownership to them. Following this, various updates to the site software and layout were introduced, including a new logo. However the logo didnt get quite the reception its creator Pseud0 expected. The symbol of the "alien" seemed to suggest the site was a nerdy, geeky, alien, abduction/pseudoscience type website. Obviously this was true, but the members felt differently [1]. As a result, following the suggestions of some of the members, Pseud0 opened up the Great Logo Design contest [2], in which members would submit ideas/creations to be later entered into a poll [3] to decide the winner.
