The genome is the complete set of DNA (or RNA in case of some viruses) in a somatic cell of an individual organism.

Whereas a G-Gnome is da meanest, baddest mudda in da garden, not to be confused with the harmless but smelly hobbit.

see also forum gnome.

Uh-ho

We've gone done messed up a proper, boney fidey Science article. Poppa's sho' gonna cuss us out later.

Anyway... the human genome was mapped in 2003, after 13 years. It was then realised, by the scientists at the time, that they had pissed their life away. Most of them subsequently committed suicide. Or will commit suicide. Or thought about it; or will do. Christ, I know I am, reading this toff post after post. Did you lot know James Crick only had an IQ of 119? And he discovered DNA. Lucky bastard. Actually he didn't discover DNA. The mapped the structure of DNA together with Watson.
