Fraction
From sciforums_encyclopedia
A ratio of two integers, which can be expressed in at least two ways:
<math>\frac{a}{b}, \qquad a / b</math>
where a and b are integers. a is known as the numerator, and b is the denominator of the fraction.
The line between a and b also has a name, which is less well known. The diagonal line is called a solidus, and the horizontal one is a vinculum (I think). Or maybe it's the other way around. This encylopedia is nothing if not authoritative, wouldn't you agree?
