Since Ive been trading on ebay Ive been getting alot of spoof emails and emails that contain dodgy virii, here comes the question: How on earth are they getting my email address? To my knowlege they dont disclose it to anyone but buyers and sellers.

Is it just me thats experiencing this? How do they find out my email address?

Are you sure these spoof emails are a result of your trading on ebay?

I traded on ebay too and I also receive all kinds of spoof emails but I do not think these emails are caused by my ebay tradings.

Simply put if you use a Handle that you use for AOL/YAHOO/MSN then it can be extrapolated into an e-mail address with a @yahoo.* or @msn.* or @hotmail.com etc.

It is directly linked. Its not a free hotmail account or anything. Its an email address with my own domain (the one i thought was dead, the server was just out of action for a while). I used to get hardly any spam then all of a sudden when I started using ebay alot the SPAM count has went up from 1-2 spams a week to 3-4 spams a day.

I dont get it.

there's nothing not "to get"
either someone buys email addresses from ebay or they are stolen from it
the facts that are mentioned in this thread speak for themselves

(thoug my sis has had no probelms with ebay.co.uk)
