Are you saying that your inability to comprehend the written word is a neurological disorder as opposed to indoctrination and lack of education?

Dyslexia doesn't exist, it is part of the wide spectrum or lingual ability, dyslexia is a corner of this range and there is no defining criteria

Jax, you are clearly an idiot who repeatedly makes that type of rash provocative comment. The issue is that some people find literacy more difficult than other people

Its funny, back in the day people didnt say others were dyslexic, everyone just said they were thick, there was no ADHD, just people that are a pain in the ass, in some ways we could say medicine is providing us with more detail and explanations for certain aspects of life, alternatively we could say they're making it up just so the stupid and irratating (who in past centuries would have died out) feel less inadaquate.
It does make me wonder if any of these conditions truely exist....

You're beginning to take after your, user name. And its funny how you, managed to spell 3 words incorrectly while subtly trying to take the piss out of dyslexics.

Thanks for proving the theory of 'trying to be overly smart and then making a ass out of yourself'

The fact that Lemming spent three word incorrectly backs up his argument, that there is no reason to give a special label to people who find reading and writing more difficult.

If you compare someone who considers themself dyslexic with somebody who is "thick" you will find little difference between their patterns of literacy

Is this going to be another ignorant comment about those urban myths about lemmings? Why can't people actually learn things these days.
A whole 3 words? As if you spell everything correctly and can take any kind of ground with such an arguement, it seems to be all you offer this forum. Im not dyslexic, i just cant spell a few words, i probably make the mistakes repeatadly, should i be ashamed i dont hide behind a term for my lack of spelling ability? I think not.
At no point did i claim to be able to spell everything, i claim i dont hide behind some disorder as an excuse when i make mistakes.
Please, feel free to point the words out so i'll learn something, then, you may take a leaf out of this book, and go learn something yourself.

Why should I learn? am not an English teacher, you can work out yourself which words you spelt incorrectly.

    Big Hint: Bold

Thankyou, i can now learn how to improve my weaknesses.
Well thats your choice, if you wish to be stupid all your life be my guest, but what should i expect from the man who brings us such classic quotes as "my atheist friend has aids, you should think about that". Perhaps you should write a book? You obviously feel your english has much to offer.

I am dyslexic...not sometimes ALL the time. I don't think people can be something only some of the time. It's like people calling themselves retards but they're not really retarded. "Boy, I sure am one retard." and so on. It works that way with that as well. Whenever people mess up what they're writing they sometimes say, "Excuse my dyslexica." Even though they aren't really dyslexic. JUst because you mess up on your spelling doesn't mean your dyslexic.

Sorry honey, but it's real. People don't like that they don't read well. They can laugh about it as much as they'd like but when a teacher asks them to read aloud...that's pretty scary when you don't know the words on the paper. A lot of times they give up all together on reading because they figure it's just not their thing.

Dyslexics certainly aren't stupid. They are different learners, that's all. Thomas Edison himself was dyslexic.

I dont doubt some people have trouble reading and writing, as others have problems in other areas, but im undecided on if i agree with these medical terms, as it would make other people mathmatically challanged or socially retarded etc depending on their specific weakness, i think its simpler just to say someone has this weakness, and not be ashamed of it or hide behind a term, we all have problems.

You're talking what I said out of context. That "aids" comment.

This guy is trying to say dyslexics are stupid. Most dyslexic are entrepreneurs and very successful.
