Theoretically isn't everything dying as soon as it is born? I mean we are all dying arne't we? technically?
Not really. Dying is just classified as when the number of cells repairing, growing or multiplying is outnumbered by those dying. At some point in the stage, dying will result in death because no matter what you give your body, it no longer has the capacity to maintain itself.
living for ever is even more depressing: if you had two choices 1) die at 80 2) never never die wat dan ook happens ...endlessly...for ever what would be your choice?
It depends on how you define "dying". I'd say yes if there were a concrete limitation on life span, but as we speak.. that entire question is being redefined... and will be over and over again for some time to come. It's perhaps the most intersting time to have ever lived as a human thus far IMO... cool stuff. All the limitations of humanity are being lifted.. but at the same time the one's we've been stuck with for SOOOO long may lead to our demise... quite amusing.
Boy that is a brutal choice. Sadly, for me I never understood why living forever is a bad idea until I saw a really bad movie called "Zardoz" (it's got Sean Connery in it, and lots of boobies!). Now I realize.. living forever would really really suck. I would however, enjoy living until I don't want to anymore.. then to be brought back every few hundred years and given the option of hanging out for a while or going away again..
