I've been trying to burn a divx video I downloaded from the internet with my dvd burner. I'm getting this error message:

Writer Error [Illegal Request (Logical Block Address Out of Range)]

Can anyone shed some light on what is going wrong?

What do I do? Is it a software problem or is it my burner?

    Cheers

When I installed my dvd burner, the BIOS automatically set it up to use Utra DMA4 mode. It would read, but wouldn't burn. I went into the BIOS settings and manually changed it to use DMA3 mode, and now it burns fine....Something you can try.

Edit: If that doesn't work, try burning a regular cd, using a different burning program...just to eliminate a disk or software problem. Have you sucessfully burned a file of this type before?
