did anyone here go to the donnington download festival, i saved up 300 pounds and then found that it was the weekend in the middle of my exams and so my parents wouldnt let me go

No, but I'm going to Ozzfest in about 2 weeks! I can't wait!! :D Disturbed, and System of a Down are two of my favorite bands (but I have a lot of favorites, so that doesn't mean much). And I missed Hatebreed and Dragonforce when they played in New York, so this is also an oppurtunity to see both of them!

i have seen system play, at download last year when i went for the weekend, they were awesome, better than megadeth and black sabbath though i loved velvet revolver

I've heard from several people that System sucks live. But I'm still excited, because I really like their music anyway. And they're going to go on hiatus for who knows how long, so this might be my last chance to ever see them :eek:

where bouts is ozzfest this year?

It's touring the whole country (US) but I'm going to the show in Mountain View California (just south of San Fransisco). It's an 8 hour drive, but since Ozzy decided not to play every show this year, I'd rather take a slightly longer trip to actually see Ozzy before he dies or quits playing.

Disturbed, System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Lacuna Coil, Hatebreed, Dragonforce, Black Label Society, Atreyu, Unearth, Norma Jean, and Bleeding Through. Also there will be rotating slots of several less-popular bands I've never heard of. Here is their website: www.ozzfest.com
