because you know you cant do anything anymore...and as seconds pass by you become afraid there really was God to live the life for and now there is nothing you can do.

I got hit by a train 2 years ago and for a split second thought I might go under and die, but no thought of god entered my head.

well I guess it wasnt time to go. But o my, be careful next time.

Such is human fallibility. You don't want it to end, and you will cling to whatever will bring you comfort, such as the thought that there's an afterlife waiting for you. It's a primal instinct to cope with the idea that you're dying soon.

Some sections allow deleting and other's don't, most notably, the World Events and Politics section.

This section allows deletion. I'm able to delete this post here.

Can we get a confirmation of this from another user?
Are the WE&P forums no longer allowing users to delete their own posts? Or is this sporadic and per user?

It worked for me.

Well it doesnt work for me. There isnt even a button for it anymore at all. No matter what browser I use. All I see is the "Save", "Go Advanced" or "Cancel" button. But I DO see it in here.

I didn't see any button to delete in the Politics section. I could save, go advanced or cancel, but no delete.

The delete function is in fact: science fiction.

wait a second...I remember it...Isaac Asimov wrote it in his books that some transdimensional beings from Quata-zema-buttto-ypsi-gammeoto galaxy used the delete function when they first encountered a mouse inside their computer...

The delete button is far too powerful for mooks like you.

(Seriously though, sounds like some sort of conflict with the vBulletin customizations and might not be easily fixed. Weird bug.)

Administrator's Notice:

Hi all!

Post deletion function was disabled in WE & P forums, which probably happened when Registered Senior group has been created. System transferred some default permissions for new created group.
Now it's fixed!

Sorry for any inconvenience! (Geez! I sound like Windows!)

Cheers!

Thanks, Plazma.

Could you check the other sections, too? Just to be sure?
Southstar was complaining about the physics forum, but I think he might have been trying to delete a thread.
He never came back to confirm if he'd made a typo or not.

So what "group" was I?

PS. Can you give me the power to delete Sciforums?
Thanks.

I've checked all subforums, even categories and post deletion is now enabled.
If some trouble with this occurs again, please inform me so I could fix it.

Cheers!

JIMMY: A mook...I'm a mook... (pauses)... What's a mook?

[CHARLIE can no longer control the situation as tempers rise]

JIMMY: You can't call me a mook!
