ok my problem is I can not remember what the coversion of a joule to a calorie is can someone please help me with this problem

1 joule = 0.23889 calories
1 calorie = 4.186 joules

What is the difference?

1 calorie is the heat needed to raise 1 gram of water by 1 degree celcius.

A joule is the relationship between work done and the amount of heat input. This just happens to be equal to 0.239 calories.
