Re: Free thoughts

there is no moderator for the free thoughts forum. it is apparent that the moderators do their share to keep it cleaned up even though it's not their specific forum. but why, especially since it is unmoderated, do moderators take it upon themselves to define what is and what isn't a free thought?

now that there is a cesspool forum, a good deal of free thoughts are being moved down there. some threads started there are obviously disposable. but most are just what the name describes: Free thoughts. please stop censoring what posters think up. especially so randomly. inane threads stay but similar ones that are less inane get tossed. if moderation is going to be so Sieg Heil mein Führer heavy handed, throw out all of them...such as the multiple how do i ask a girl out and which girl shoudl i ask out, and now that i've asked her out what do i do with her threads.

I never understand the "stop censoring" complaint.
A post that is moved is not censored. It is still available to read.
And how are you counting deleted posts if they are gone?

:m: Peace.

You can still read and post in the thread, it's just in a seperate forum. The other mods never closed the threads, edited them, or deleted them; they just moved them.

I like it that many threads are actively moved to their proper subforums. It keeps things in order, and it shows that the 'administration' is actively involved with the forum and cares.

Of course occasionaly a thread might be moved to the 'wrong' subforum, but no system is ever perfect.

I don't blame swedish fish on this, for the soul reason its insulting to be put in the cesspool and there isn't enough focus put on the decision making of what goes in there.
Everytime a thread is moved in there you should really want to be sending a message to the thread starter, like 'shape up or ship out'. The selection of what goes into the cesspool seems to have so far been pretty random. I can say that unbiasedly as I have not been put in there yet.
It would be more meaningfull if only really pathetic threads went in there so it could be like a forum of shame, that way it could act as a deterrent for future shit-thread starters.
Now its just like we have 2 free thoughts sub-forums, I don't find the cesspool insulting enough to those in it, and the reason for that is it hasn't been made obvious with selective thread-movings that the cesspool is indeed a resting place for shit.
There are threads in there that don't deserve to be, and ones not in there that do deserve to be, and as such its not obvious enough that the cesspool is designed to insult people.

Don't stop there - in your opinion, which threads do not belong and why?

:m: Peace.
