I was just wondering how the U.S media is reporting the civillian casualties in Afghanistan? I read an article in the paper today that the deaths have already exceeded the number of people killed in the WTC attacks. I've seen several websites claiming that the U.S media is not reporting the casualties accurately. Since I'm not in the U.S, I was wanting an opinion on this from an actual American. Thanks, Io
It is my opinion that much of what we receive from news “conglomerates” is filtered and slanted to keep a population content. I turn to foreign media sources on a daily basis; the more I can cover, the better. How many casualties? Over 3000? And that was back in November. Peace.
Gess thats just more people (their friends and family) who will hate the US now so you have just made a WHOLE new generation of potential terrorsts Concratulations
Have to check the news, but just caught a glimps of another building attacked by a plane - pilot wanted to end his life - I haven't got the full story yet but my point is why would anyone want to do a copycat suicide that selfishly? What the hell is going on? I really shudder to think of where this war is going. Peace everyone. Teri
Teri I was lisserning to the radio before and they said that the pilot radiod for help They belive he was either over come by fumes or had a heart attack
Well there you go, serves me right for not checking my facts. Even so, it's a bit freaky. Terrorism has really become an 'in your face' topic these days. Paranoid people are becoming easier to sympathize with.
