I wish an Admin would do it, then I'll change computers. domesticated om 09-18-06, 10:26 PM when i click the log off button the box disappears and nothing happens, but it does log off if i restart How long do you wait before selecting 'shut down/restart'? Have you ever clicked log off, and just let it sit there forever without doing anything at all? There are sometimes applications running (in the bavkground) that take forever to kill themselves so windows can complete its logout routine. If you click on the logout button, select 'log off' when the msgbox pops up prompting you "are you sure?", then it just sits there---- go to the task manager, and look for anything out of the ordinary on the "processes" tree. If you can figure out whats making it hang, you can select on it, and click "end task", and that might kill it (as soon as it closes, the logoff routine will finish). P.S. I have no clue what all you have installed on your machine, so the only thing I could suggest is to look for something that doesn't look like a normal windows task LOL. Stryder 09-19-06, 06:57 AM Genji, What you could do is log onto the forums with your own computer (or a trusted one) and go into your profile and change your password. The computers that you can't clear the cookies on will then be stale and won't work, namely logging you off. But on this particular one I'm always logged in. Frustrating. Thanx for the tip! |
