Can one of you guys translate this into English for me because it doesn't make any sense.

LV i think its much more important to introduce the electrol reform that will MAKE being a polition an honorable proffession again and one people aspire to be (rather than do to personally gain) than worry about religion of a polition. Yes most political figures tend to be religious to some degree, however in countries like Australia it tends to be a non issue what religion a polition is. Hell i know there is ONE jewish member of the house of reps, no idea who. The only reason i KNOW this is because i was lissioning to the swearing in of the members of the house of reps on the radio. Actually i find politions having religion to be MUCH less objectionable to parliment opening every morning with a pray and FAR LESS objectionable to religious leaders telling politions if they are catholic they will vote a cirtain way on a cirtain issue. This happened and caused a HUGE backlash not only from the public and the non catholic members of parliment but from the catholic congregation and ESPECIALLY from the catholic MP's (George Pell is a real moron)

EDIT to add: Anyway i sugest you focus of reforms that increase the prestege of the office and lessen the curoption first

Well, he is saying that a politician's religion should not be an opposing factor to elect a leader. He is also saying that a leader should not justify that prayer and spirituality will solve the problems that face him/her, but often does anyway in this time. Politicians are also very oftenly influenced by religious leaders to vote or stand for a cause because they said so.
