Stryder 01-05-07, 07:11 AM You'll find that testing from different locations at different distances from yourself will give different results.
The greater the distance information has to travel, the more restrictive it's final speed is as the overall communication has to deal with fragmentation across multiple network nodes.
Ontop of that certain backbone networks have less contention ratio in comparison to less technologically advanced areas.
(.e.g. Washington and New Yorks servers are obviously a Faster infrastructure than say Atlanta since the networks don't just deal with Private connection and standard commerce but also vast business transactions)

By the way this Speakeasy website for sure doesn't measure the correct speed, because I am getting 12152 kbps and any other site reports less than half of that...
