i advise you not to see it. worst acting i have ever seen in a movie, i will not ever see another movie by emnit shamalon.. it seemed that he chose race over acting ability. there was 1 decent actor in the whole thing on top of that 95% of the movie were india. is that a problem? normally no but none NOT 1 could act worth a shit. makes me very sad because this could have been one of the best trilogies out there.. all in all if emnite does the next two i will not pay to see them if i chose to see them at all

You know, when I saw the previews, I didn't understand why shamalan felt that he had to use a real child actor to play the Avatar... I would have much rather had the Avatar be a young looking 20-27 y/o with martial arts mastery and acting experience... Children can't act, I'm sorry (with very few exceptions).

I had already heard it was a bad movie, but it did get me to begin watching the anime original, which so far I've enjoyed. Once a copy of the movie came out online, I snuck a peek. I didn't last more than 10 minutes...I saw how it was going to ruin the experience. It was so abbreviated in character development even having seen some of the first anime episodes I was lost. I really feel sorry for anyone who went to the movie without some background of the storyline.

The only thing, ONLY thing it might have going for it is special effects, but when the plot and acting are crap, who cares?

Plot and acting are the bones and spirit of a movie, respectively. Without them you just have a disconnected pile of a slop, which, coincidentally, makes a good feed for herd animals.

veryyyy true i have watched all of the anime and its a GREAT series i highly recommend it to anyone. as for character development in the movie.. what character development? they pronounce 2 of the fing MAIN CHARACTERS names wrong saka, and ang, they don't even elaborate what the avatar state is. the way they portray the characters is completely wrong, god the list goes on and on.

as a buddy at work said the donkey in a donkey show could act better than 90% of the actors in that movie
