You know what's great? being a Mac user, and knowing that while all these Windows users are trembling over the Virus of the Week, you are safe and sound and unworried. :D

How is it in Free Thoughts as well?
And most worms would be detected by AV software though, why are these so special?
These worms seem to diguise themselves as proper utilities, such as WinZip Full or a cd crack of some sort. I downloaded the virus from a number of sources and today I invested in an anti-virus.
Last week I had a new hard-drive installed (new start) and ran the anti-virus today. It picked up 65 viruses. Most of them were the Supernova virus (Grokster/Kazza one). I also found a number of trojans and backdoor viruses. All this happened in a week.
The supernova virus is almost undetectable and apparantly, it lays dorment until you 'disturb' it.
It appears as Kitty icons in your windows/media file
I'll keep you posted on any new viruses.

But Sophos or Norton will keel it?
This is not the first time that virus notices have went out to Kazza users or Grokster either for that matter. I was going to download Kazza after the demise of AudioGalaxy. When I went to my favorite download site, I took the time to read users comments. I decided real fast I wouldn't use it. I don't need a site testing how well my virus scanner works each day.
Yes, people do go to the nerd culture site. I found it to answer it. All things in their place.
