"The unending soap opera that is John Edward's life has a new episode: The National Enquirer reports he has proposed to Rielle Hunter. Edwards, 56, popped the question to Hunter on the same day he told her he was finally publicly claiming paternity of daughter Frances. The former senator released the statement on Jan. 21, and six days later his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Edwards, announced via a spokesperson that the couple had legally separated. Edwards is reportedly purchasing a $3.5 million luxury beachfront home for his new life with Hunter. An unnamed source said that Hunter's loyalty to Edwards inspired Edwards to propose. I know that the the politicians that we see on TV are just the images that they convey, not the real them... but the impression I was getting about Edwards even since the 2004 campaign was that he's a slick asshole lawyer with no principles. (Then I saw his VP debates against Cheney and also discovered that he was an intellectual midget as well, but that's another story)... so the image he portrayed ended up being pretty close to his true self. Heh.

 

It wont help him in his political career. The other woman looks to be over 30 so lets not throw out strawmen.

 

If it's true, it only continues to confirm what a horrendously immoral charlatan this man is, something I said years ago about him.
